Our team of Clinical Psychologists and Clinical Neuropsychologists work closely together to provide a therapeutic service for the whole family. Each Psychologist has areas of specialty with all Psychologists able to see adults and some Psychologists also working with infants, children and adolescents. Mary has a compassionate and caring nature, and offers a safe space for clients experiencing difficulties, and challenging times. She enjoys working with children and adults, and has experience in both government and private settings. Mary is passionate about helping clients develop awareness, resilience, and life skills that will encourage growth and support well-being. She works with a variety of presentations including depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, substance abuse, stress, perinatal issues, child emotional and behaviour difficulties, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Mary uses various therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy, and supportive counselling. Mary is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and the Clinical College of Psychologists (CCP).
Dr. Amanda Nagulendran

Amanda holds a Doctor of Psychology (Clinical) degree. Her professional experience includes treatment of anxiety and depression at a specialist clinic, providing psychological services for medical inpatients, and facilitating day programs delivering Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Amanda has worked in a range of settings in public and private healthcare across Melbourne. She is passionate about providing evidence-based treatment to support clients in reaching their goals. With a research background in cross-cultural psychology, Amanda enjoys working with adults from a range of cultural backgrounds. She is particularly interested in working with anxiety disorders, depression, adjustment difficulties, trauma, and difficulties with emotion regulation. Amanda‘s therapeutic approach combines elements of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), including mindfulness.

Crysta is a Clinical Psychologist who has been part of the Melbourne Clinical and Child Psychology team for over 6 years. She completed her training in New Zealand and has a range of experience with both children and adults, including providing assessment and intervention for developmental and learning disorders. Crysta previously worked within an adolescent mental health hospital team and has developed a special interest in working with young people who may experience anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, bullying, depression, low self-esteem, disordered eating, school refusal, adjustment difficulties and self-harming behaviour. Crysta provides a comfortable and safe space for people to share their difficulties. She has a collaborative approach to tailoring evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, including mindfulness.

Hannah is a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychologist with a Masters of Clinical Psychology. She has over 20 years mental health and disability experience. Hannah has a nursing and case management background in both the UK and Australia and has worked in both public and private setting with adults and child. She is passionate about her work as a Psychologist and understands the importance of tailoring her approach to each client’s needs and preferences.
Hannah really enjoys working with children and adults. Her particular interests include, but are not limited to: depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, adjustment difficulties, parenting and personality difficulties. She uses a range of evidence-based approaches to her work, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, ACT, DBT, EMDR, mindfulness and self-compassion based approaches.

Nicole has completed a Doctor of Psychology (Neuropsychology), with specialised training in the assessment and rehabilitation of neuropsychological conditions. She completed her internship in paediatric rehabilitation at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne where she worked with children and families with a range of conditions including, but not limited to, acquired brain injury (e.g., stroke, traumatic brain injury, tumour, epilepsy, cerebral palsy and alcohol and substance-related brain injury), neurodevelopmental disorders (learning disorders, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and neurodegenerative diseases (acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, tuberous sclerosis and early onset multiple sclerosis). She also has a background working in disability support and teaching.
With a research background in learning disorders and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, Nicole is passionate about advocating for children with learning challenges in the education setting. She has a number of journal articles and has recently completed her PhD in this area.
Nicole is creative, empathic and driven. She believes in providing high-quality care to patients and support to their caregivers by adopting a scientist-practitioner model to ensure up-to-date, evidence-based care. She provides assessments for learning and attentional difficulties, reading and writing difficulties and overall intellectual and academic abilities.
Dr. Nellie Lucas

Nellie established Melbourne Clinical and Child Psychology in 2006. She enjoys seeing children, young people and adults and is empathic, supportive and caring in her approach. She has over 14 years experience in mental health, having first worked in adult mental health in Sydney and then completing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Child & Adolescent Specialisation) at The University of Melbourne. She has since worked in a number of private and public health services across Melbourne including as a Lecturer and Clinical Supervisor at Monash University. She has expertise in treating a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, psychosis and personality difficulties. She also specialises in seeing young people and children with emotional, social and behavioural concerns. Therapy is always evidence based and principally draws upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approaches.

Sarah is a paediatric Clinical Neuropsychologist with specialised training in the cognitive assessment and management of children and adolescents with neuropsychological conditions. She completed a Doctor of Psychology (Neuropsychology) at Monash University in 2012 and has worked as a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Research Fellow at Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. Sarah has worked with children and families with a range of conditions including neurological conditions (e.g., stroke, traumatic brain injury, tumour, epilepsy, cerebral palsy and neurodegenerative diseases) and neurodevelopmental disorders (learning disorders, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).
Sarah has a research background in epilepsy and neuroimaging and has presented at local and international conferences on her work. She has publications in the areas of childhood epilepsy, premature birth, brain injury, fetal medication exposure, autism spectrum disorder and brain imaging.

Anna is a clinical psychologist with experience working with children, young people and families across private and community settings. Anna works with a range of presenting
problems including emotional and behavioural concerns, anxiety, depression, sleeping/eating/toileting difficulties, anger and aggressive behaviours, and grief and loss.
Anna has a personal interest in working with parent-child relationships to strengthen attachment and promote positive emotional development in children. Anna tailors her therapeutic approach according to the needs of the client and utilises various therapeutic modalities including play therapy, art-based therapies, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed CBT, and narrative therapy. Anna enjoys working with clients across the lifespan, from young children to adults.
